What is Jewelry Revamping?

Revamping (or redesigning) is the process of taking existing jewelry apart and using its components to build something new. It's different from simple repair because we change the design, not just fix it.

Step 1: The Treasure Hunt (Consultation)

Bring in everything! That broken chain, the ugly ring you inherited, the loose stone. We sit down, test the metals, measure the stones, and see what we have to work with.

Step 2: Design & Dreaming

Step 3: CAD Visualization

For complex redesigns, we create a 3D computer model (CAD). You'll see a photorealistic image of your new piece before we even touch your old jewelry.

Step 4: The Transformation

Our goldsmiths carefully un-set your stones, process the metal, and craft the new piece. Your old jewelry is reborn.

Is it cheaper to redesign old jewelry or buy new?

Usually, redesigning is cheaper—especially if you have high-quality diamonds or gemstones. Buying a new 1-carat diamond ring might cost $8,000+, but resetting your 1-carat diamond into a new custom mount might cost only $1,500. You save the cost of the stone.

Can you use my own gold?

Yes, in two ways. 1) We can sometimes melt it directly (best for sentimental wedding bands). 2) More commonly, we "trade it in" for credit. Old gold often has impurities, so trading it for fresh, pure casting grain ensures your new ring doesn't have pits or cracks.

What if I don't have enough gold for the new design?

No problem! We simply supply the extra gold needed, and you just pay the difference.

I have a bag of broken jewelry. Is it worth anything?

Almost certainly! Even broken chains and single earrings add up. Bring them in—we'll weigh them and tell you exactly how much credit you have towards your new piece.
